Journey Into Adventure: Part II

TV is an interesting thing. Especially when you're on it.

One of my favorite movies of all time is Willy Wonka. (The original, DAMN YOU TIM BURTON!) Especially the scene where the aptly named 'Mike TV' is tele-ported in a million tiny pieces into the TV set. That's kind of what I felt like last Tuesday when I was on my local FOX affiliate's morning show to talk about Incredible Journey.

Now please keep in mind that I am no stranger to performing. I have been a professional musician since I was 16 years old, and a DJ for the past couple of years. I was confident that I was going to be able to open my mouth and actual words would come out of it. I kept my cool the whole way down to the studio and the 40 minutes that I had to wait until my segment, but as soon as I sat on that pleather couch in front of the cameras I started to sweat. The next four minutes are a hazy blur. I can't remember what I was asked or what I said, except that I called myself a nerd several times. I DO remember that the producers did an awesome job of putting together the story, visuals and all. The feedback from the people who saw it was positive. I won't watch it though. I'll post it as soon as I get the clip, but I swear I won't watch it...ever! Sorry, but I don't want to see my fat face on TV. I'm weird like that.
